We ensure that the information from geographically dispersed points on the grid is collected to work together. We do so using an application and protocol that convey information between the different system interfaces. This functionality allows systems to send information to each other automatically. An example is signals from fault indication on the grid displayed consistently and accurately in the operating system (SCADA).
